Hope Hub begins in 2018 when a young man asked to share his mental health story on film. The resulting film documented lived experiences of mental health and wellbeing became known as Foolish Optimism. A working group of young people from all over Scotland subsequently toured the film all over Scotland and met and spoke with countless others who identify with the voices and ideas presented in the film.
The working group has since grown into a small, but passionate community: supporting each other, continuing the conversation, and looking for solutions to the things that negatively impact wellbeing.
Hope Hub is the next leg of this ongoing journey. It seeks to provide a safe place for people with mental health challenges and issues to just ‘be’. Art is used as a way of encouraging people to freely express themselves, share their lives and build community. This website contains snippets of that onward journey…
